In commemoration of the famous Scottish Poet Robert Burns, EHS saw the return of the annual Burnsfest. Working in collaboration with each other, the H.E, English, P.E, Music and Technical support departments hosted an afternoon full of poetry, dancing, eating, toasting and live music. S1 students did a fantastic job of preparing their speeches which made the event an afternoon to remember.
EHS Talent Show 2018
This annual event allows our students to show off their abilities and favourite arts. This year we saw a great variety of talent come to the stage. The performances included singing, dancing and playing instruments. Congratulations to all the of performers and more so to the winners Gregor and Nicola who stole the show with their rendition of Little lion man.
The Great European Bake off 2018
The event was organised by the modern languages department and Elgin high school senior students. Five teachers go head to head to create a European themed cake within 30 minutes in commemoration of the European day of languages and to promote language learning within the school.
EHS School Show 2018
Elgin High school saw the return of the school show courtesy of the Drama department and its students. The audience was rocked as students and staff performed a fantastic rendition of “The School of Rock”. A big thank you to everybody that took part in bringing this show to the school.
Last year we managed to raise a total of £9054.18 for charity
The festive season not only brings out the smiles but is also host to the annual christmas fayre event at EHS. With the new utilities and ample space of our new school the christmas fayre saw a community come together under one roof to support the Scottish Association for Mental Health. Candy canes, mince pies, festive games and great live music welcomed staff, parents and pupils making this remarkable event truly memorable.
EHS YPI Winners 2019
Congratulations to the the Moray School Bank team on winning this years YPI competition and securing a donation for their charity. Opposite you will find their presentation made be Abbie, Niamh, Cadeja and Jake.
